Job and Internship Fair – Wed. Nov. 1st!

Come one, come all! Learn about internships and jobs! Even if you are not looking for an internship or a job, this is a great networking event! Munch and mingle with library professionals from Phoenix and Tucson! Drop by the fair and you can win an iPod Nano (sponsored by SIRLS SLA) or one of two great gift baskets (sponsored by LSO & Starbucks – Thanks Paula!).

Student Fee Forum this Friday

This Friday we are hosting the Student Fee Forum. This is a chance for SIRLS students to ask questions, raise concerns, or make suggestions regarding the proposed increase in the Student Fee. If passed, this will take effect beginning next Fall 2007. Jana Bradley will be at the event to address the students. Please join us!

SIRLS Students

Nervous about standing up in front of a class to talk? Join us Monday, 6 November, when Dr. Patti Overall tells her tips and suggestions for doing formal presentations.

LSO will have free pizza and drinks starting at 5:30; her presentation will start at 6:00pm and end at 6:30 in the SIRLS multipurpose room. If you have class that night, we’ll understand if you come late or leave early, so don’t let that stop your learning from an excellent presenter!
